The University of Florida Department of Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time Hematology Hospitalist for a clinician track position in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the Assistant Professor rank or higher. This position seeks a board-certified/board-eligible Hematologist. Applicants must be eligible for a Florida Medical License. The successful candidate will provide inpatient hematology consultations with a focus on non-malignant hematology, participate in the education of medical trainees (medical students, residents, hematology/oncology fellows), and engage in quality and safety initiatives. The position can be individualized and opportunities for leadership and research are encouraged.

The UF Division of Hematology and Oncology faculty are closely engaged and partners with the University of Florida Health Cancer Center (UFHCC), the only NCI-designated Cancer Center in North Central Florida. The center is also the only NCI-Designated Cancer Center based at a public university in Florida. The UFHCC blends comprehensive patient care and innovative research in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, with members from 11 of the 16 colleges at the University of Florida (UF). UF is listed as one of the nation's top five public research universities, according to the 2023 Best Colleges rankings by U.S. News & World Report.

Resources available for professional development at the University of Florida Health Sciences Center include leadership, education, and research training through support from the UF Health Cancer Center, Clinical Translational Science Institute (CTSI), formal mentorship programs, and supported opportunities for teaching and research.

Tenure accruing and non-tenure accruing tracks are available. Rank and tenure status will be commensurate with qualifications.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be board-certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology and Hematology and be eligible for a Florida Medical License.
