Pay and Benefits:

This role is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. The base salary range for this position is $270,000 - $465,407 commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE.  The salary from the University is dependent upon the academic effort of the person hired.

The division has a faculty of six non-malignant adult hematologists with international reputations as clinicians and clinician-scientists. We have programs in Hemostasis, Thrombosis, Hereditary and Acquired Anemias, abnormalities of Heme and Iron Metabolism, and Myeloproliferative Disorders. The division has a combined fellowship program with Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine that attracts very strong fellows.

The hospitalist serves as the attending physician for the inpatient hematology and cellular therapy service, generally working alternating one-week blocks. Hematologist — Hemophilia and Thrombosis

The Dartmouth Cancer Center Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center is seeking a collaborative, full-time hematologist with expertise or interest in inherited and acquired bleeding and clotting disorders.

The Center is one of three federally funded Comprehensive Hemophilia Treatment Centers in northern New England and includes the region’s only specialized coagulation laboratory. The physician will provide outpatient and inpatient consultation while working closely with nursing, advanced practice providers, physical therapy, social work, and other clinical professionals.

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluating and treating patients with bleeding and clotting disorders
• Providing outpatient consultations and inpatient consultative care
• Caring for patients with hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, and other rare bleeding disorders

This position will work within the USF Hemophilia Treatment Center, specializing in diagnosis, treatment, and management of bleeding disorders. Additionally, this position will have an opportunity to engage in FDA-approved gene therapy. Our center has its own 340B program that supports our wide range of patient care activities and staff, including RNs, NPs, Physical Therapists, social workers, and administrative staff. We have our own clinical research team that supports our clinical research activities.    

Additional academic responsibilities may include advising and mentoring students in the development of scholarly projects; assessing, reviewing, and evaluating student educational activities and progress; and serving on university-wide, medical school, and/or departmental committees.

Prefer: 1-3 years of physician experience with benign hematology. Previous experience in an academic medical center and proven track record in teaching and/or clinical research preferred. Extensive thrombosis experience is a plus as we are evolving our activities into a hemostasis/thrombosis center. Applicants with a track record in clinical or basic research in hemostasis or thrombosis are particularly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

The Division of Hematology and Cellular Therapy of the Allegheny Health Network Cancer Institute, primarily located at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, seeks a highly skilled and compassionate physician leader with expertise in Hematology and Cellular Therapy (HSCT and CAR-T). This position offers a Division Chief leadership role in a growing and dynamic Hematology and Cellular Therapy program dedicated to clinical and translational research as well as exceptional patient care.

The Division Chief works with the AHN Cancer Institute Chair and other leaders to develop and implement strategy and processes for patients under the care of the Division of Hematology and Cellular Therapy. The Division Chief shall also maintain all current and future standards of care, both inpatient and outpatient as well as accreditations needed to assure service for the region. The Division Chief will maintain the same standards and accreditations for subdivisions of the Cell Processing and Molecular Hematology Laboratory. The Division Chief will assume responsibilities for research and development within the division and connect these activities to the larger goals of the AHN Cancer Institute. The successful candidate will be considered for the role of Division Chief of the Hematology and Cellular therapy Program.

The Division of Hematology/Oncology has a growing faculty, with practices in multiple locations in the metropolitan Cleveland area. Mayo Clinic is seeking a board certified / board eligible pediatric hematologist to join our growing team!  Mayo Clinic is an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and a federally designated Comprehensive Hemophilia Treatment Center with 11 pediatric hematologist/oncologists, nine nurse practitioners, and eight specialty nurses.   While the division provides comprehensive care across the full spectrum of pediatric hematologic and oncologic conditions, this role is specifically focused on non-malignant, classical pediatric hematology.

Our non-malignant hematology program provides multidisciplinary, longitudinal care for children with inherited and acquired blood disorders, with particular strengths in bleeding. and clotting, and bone marrow failure disorders. As a Comprehensive Hemophilia Treatment Center, we deliver integrated care for patients with hemophilia and other congenital bleeding disorders, including access to a specialized lab for state-of-the-art testing, specialized nursing, physical therapy, social work, and care coordination services. In addition, our Vascular Malformation Clinic brings together hematology, interventional radiology, surgery, genetics, dermatology, and other specialties to provide coordinated evaluation and management of complex vascular anomalies.

This position is dedicated to the outpatient and inpatient care of children with non-malignant hematologic conditions within a highly collaborative practice. All physicians in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology share responsibility for the inpatient care of children with blood disorders, cancer, and those undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation at Mayo Clinic Hospital, while maintaining defined areas of clinical focus. The successful candidate will also contribute to the division’s educational mission through teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. This is an opportunity to join a busy and growing practice as we look towards expansion in the hematologic and cellular therapy care provided at New Hampshire's only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. This role is part of a team-based approach, inclusive of communication with case managers, social workers, and bed managers, ensuring appropriate patient-centered transitions of care. In addition to clinical care, the academic institution and collaboration with Geisel School of Medicine allows unique opportunities to engage in clinical and research programs, clinical trials research, cancer chemoprevention, clinical and basic pharmacology, novel cell therapy constructs, and participation in a broad range of teaching initiatives.

Both Internal Medicine Hospitalists with an interest in hematology and Hematologists with an interest in inpatient care will be considered for this position.

The Hematology and Cellular Therapy Hospitalist will serve as the attending physician for the inpatient hematology and cellular therapy service on alternating one-week blocks (7 days on / 7 days off) with additional sick call backup coverage. An alternative schedule may be considered. No night coverage is required.

A full-time hospitalist will provide 24 weeks of inpatient service per year, providing direct patient care (including admissions) as well as supervising and teaching advanced practice providers, fellows, and residents.

• The hospitalist will directly oversee a team of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners in providing high quality subspecialized and step-down level care for a complex and diverse patient population. No “first-call” responsibilities.
• The hospitalist will complete all inpatient documentation and billing in a timely fashion.
• The hospitalist will have clinical, academic, and teaching responsibilities to support their career development.
• The hospitalist will closely collaborate with outpatient hematology team to maintain the highest quality care and patient safety during patient transitions and discharges.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Candidate must have an M.D. or equivalent medical professional degree.
• Candidate must be eligible to practice in the State of New Hampshire.
• ABIM Certification in Internal Medicine and/or Hematology required.

Advanced practice providers work closely with physicians in a shared practice model. APPs provide care for patients throughout the course of their illness and are involved in initial treatment planning and counseling, assessments, supportive care during chemotherapy treatment, and surveillance and follow-up care after completion of treatment. In addition to working collaboratively with physicians, they play an integral role in coordinating care with other subspecialties, including radiation oncology and surgical oncology. The cancer center includes an active cancer clinical trials program and provides a full range of supportive services, including social work, palliative care, nutrition support, genetic counseling, and patient navigation.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join a collaborative and supportive APP/MD team practice that provides care for patients with hematologic diagnoses who are admitted to the hospital due to complications of their malignancy, complications of their treatment, for palliative care, or for chemotherapy. Common cancer diagnoses are lymphoma, leukemia, and MDS. In addition to treating patients with chemotherapy or on clinical trials, the team manages acute medical problems such as neutropenic fever, nausea and vomiting, pain management, and other acute medical diagnoses. This position offers the opportunity to be involved in every aspect of cancer care including initial diagnosis, treatment, clinical trials, management of complications/acute medical issues, and palliative care.

The position is 100% clinical. The typical morning consists of pre-rounding on patients followed by rounds with the attending physician. In the afternoon, the APP carries out the plan of care for patients, consults with other services as indicated, admits and discharges patients, and performs procedures (including bone marrow biopsy). The ideal candidate is motivated, self-directed, compassionate, enthusiastic and committed to evidence-based practice and lifelong learning. The Division of Hematology and Oncology has established clinical expertise in the treatment of hematologic, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, and breast malignancies and is committed to expanding programs across all oncologic subspecialties. Members of the Division collaborate closely with specialists across the Cancer Center including experts in surgical oncology, gynecologic oncology, and radiation oncology to provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary cancer care. The Cancer Center supports this collaborative approach through12 subspecialty multi-disciplinary tumor boards and maintains accreditation from several nationally recognized organizations including the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer as an Academic Comprehensive Cancer Program, the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, and the Foundation for Accreditation of Cellular Therapy.

Faculty are engaged in the MHMC internal medicine residency and hematology / oncology fellowship programs. The fellows cover the inpatient hematology and oncology consultation service for the MHMC hospital. The consult service expertise can also be requested by the separate inpatient cancer unit run by hospitalists.

Clinical research is an integral component of the Division and the MetroHealth Cancer Center. After holding the ECOG Cooperative Group grant at MetroHealth for 38 years, the Division and the Cancer Center are full partners (Lead Academic Participating Site) in the Case Western Reserve University National Clinical Trials Network grant. With the assistance of the MHMC oncology research team, all Division members are expected to enroll their patients in NCI, pharmaceutical-sponsored, and investigator-initiated studies.  The Division is closely aligned with the MHMC’s basic science driven Division of Cancer Biology and the Gene and Cellular Therapy Institute.

Specific Responsibilities  

• The Director will be a practicing member of the Hematology and Oncology Medicine Division, leading by providing outstanding clinical care and service to patients and referring providers, and promoting clinical trial enrollment.

• Establish a faculty development plan that identifies faculty sub-specialty interests, strengths and capabilities that can lead to successful program development and professional growth 

• Work on all aspects of faculty recruitment, and retention

We are particularly interested in physicians with several years of experience beyond fellowship who have established clinical expertise in hematologic malignancies and a strong interest in advancing cellular therapy programs. This opportunity offers the ability to contribute to an innovative program focused on CAR-T therapy, bispecific antibodies, clinical trials, and the multidisciplinary care of patients with complex blood cancers.

Clinical Practice and Location

The physician’s primary clinical practice will be based at Duke Cancer Center Raleigh, a comprehensive, community-based cancer center serving patients throughout Raleigh, Cary, Wake County, and the surrounding region. The center provides coordinated hematology and oncology care, outpatient infusion services, advanced cancer treatments, clinical trial access, pharmacy services, and multidisciplinary support in one convenient location.

The primary patient population will include adults with hematologic malignancies who require longitudinal subspecialty care, including patients with lymphoma, multiple myeloma, leukemia, and other blood cancers. The physician will evaluate and manage patients who may benefit from CAR-T therapy, bispecific antibodies, cellular immunotherapy, or other advanced treatment approaches. Responsibilities may include treatment consultation, patient selection, pre-treatment evaluation, longitudinal disease management, management of therapy-related complications, and post-cellular therapy follow-up.

This role will help expand access to advanced hematologic malignancy care for patients in Wake County while maintaining close integration with the Duke Blood Cancer Center and cellular therapy program at Duke University Medical Center in Durham. Patients requiring specialized cellular therapy procedures, complex inpatient care, transplantation, or other tertiary-level services will have seamless access to Duke’s main academic campus.

Clinical Role

The successful candidate may also have a clinical role in the Division of Hematology and Oncology in our internationally recognized cellular therapy clinical program. The clinical responsibilities may include inpatient care for patients undergoing advanced cellular therapies and/or a limited outpatient clinic with a focus on allogeneic transplant MCW’s cellular therapy program serves most of the state of Wisconsin as well as northern Illinois and parts of Michigan. We perform roughly 400 cellular therapy procedures yearly, including autologous and allogeneic transplant, chimeric-antigen T-cell receptor therapy and novel cellular protocols, including cutting edge and first-in-human clinical trials. The physician will be part of a multidisciplinary team and critically involved in the day-to-day management of complex patients. The team includes skilled advanced practice providers, transplant coordinators, nursing staff, pharmacists, and other specialists.

The Division of Hematology and Oncology is a core center member of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Clinical Trials Network (BMT CTN), a lead academic center for the National Clinical Trials Network (NCTN) and an active member of ECOG-ACRIN.

The Division of Hematology and Cellular Therapy of the Allegheny Health Network Cancer Institute seeks a highly skilled and compassionate physician with extensive experience in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of myeloid malignancy, including expertise in allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (alloHSCT). This position offers a leadership role in a growing and dynamic hematology program dedicated to clinical and translational research and exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will be considered for the directorship of the HSCT program.

Position Summary:

The Physician will provide comprehensive medical care to patients with myeloid malignancy, including but not limited to acute myeloid leukemia (AML), chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), and myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN). This includes overseeing all aspects of patient care, from initial diagnosis and treatment planning to follow-up and supportive care. A significant component of the role involves participation in the alloHSCT program, encompassing pre-transplant evaluation, conditioning regimen selection, transplant procedures, post-transplant management, and the management of complications.

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with myeloid malignancy, including diagnosis, staging, treatment planning, and ongoing management

Programs at the Akron Children’s Hospital Showers Family Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders include hematology, oncology, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, a state-funded sickle cell program and regional hemostasis and thrombosis center. The Foley Family Leukemia Fellowship is an Advanced Fellowship in Leukemia at the Dana-
Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) designed to provide comprehensive clinical training and research opportunities in leukemia. The fellowship is ideal for a physician planning a career that includes clinical and/or translational research in leukemia in an academic setting. 

The Leukemia Fellowship training focuses on the clinical management and study of acute leukemias, myelodysplastic syndromes, and myeloproliferative neoplasms. The program's primary aim is to prepare qualified individuals for careers focused on caring for individuals with leukemia and conducting transformative clinical and/or translational research. The Fellow will be appointed a Clinical Fellow in Medicine at Harvard Medical School.

Compensation Information:

We are looking for a dynamic individual to build and lead a world-class Cancer Clinical Trials Office, advancing a comprehensive, high-performing clinical trials program that enhances patient access, strengthens investigator engagement, and supports innovative study activation and execution across the system.

The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research serves as the hub of Northwell Health’s research enterprise and a center for scientific discovery and innovation, including the Institute of Cancer Research, where groundbreaking translational cancer research is performed. In addition, a strategic partnership established in 2015 between Northwell Health and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory has accelerated the translation of basic science discoveries into patient care through the development of innovative early-phase clinical trials.

As Medical Director of the Cancer Clinical Trials Office, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Design and implement a system-wide strategy for cancer clinical trials operations, portfolio development, and enrollment growth across all Northwell sites
• Establish a centralized, high-performing clinical trials infrastructure that supports all disease teams
• Develop standardized processes for trial activation, enrollment, compliance, data quality, and regulatory oversight across all Northwell sites
• Expand early-phase (Phase I/II) clinical trial capabilities, including investigator-initiated trials (IITs), to position Northwell as a destination for novel cancer therapeutics
• Collaborate with disease-specific program leaders, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, precision medicine, and supportive care to ensure multidisciplinary trial development
• Build and strengthen relationships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry partners, cooperative groups (NCTN, NCORP), and academic collaborators to grow the trial portfolio
• Leverage Northwell's expansive footprint to bring clinical trials closer to patients, reducing barriers to access and ensuring diverse and equitable trial participation

Qualifications: 

• MD or MD/PhD from an accredited institution
• Board Certification in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology
• Significant clinical expertise and national/international reputation in the development and conduct of cancer clinical trials
• Track record of program development, clinical research operations leadership, and clinical trial portfolio growth
• Strong publication record and history of clinical/translational research, including experience as a principal investigator on cooperative group, industry-sponsored, and/or investigator-initiated trials
• Experience with regulatory compliance, IRB processes, FDA requirements, and clinical trial quality assurance
• Proven ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships with industry partners, cooperative groups, and academic institutions
• Eligibility for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor at the Zucker School of Medicine
• Active or eligible for medical licensure in New York State

Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel, New York, located just 60 miles north of New York City, is seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist to join our growing Cancer Institute. Our model of care is multi-disciplinary and integrated and working in the direction of disease site specific. In collaboration with Surgical and Radiation Oncologists, we are developing a cohesive team of medical oncologists and allied health providers that will function in a comprehensive and integrated model of care. Putnam Hospital Center is a 165-bed community hospital with a staff of more than 300 physicians.
