Build a Premier Program

●         Design and implement a cohesive system-wide strategy for hematologic malignancies

The CMRO positions offer exciting opportunities to provide high level leadership, strategic planning, and detailed oversight and management for the extramural clinical portfolios in research on the causes, prevention, and treatment of cardiovascular, pulmonary, blood diseases and sleep disorders. NHLBI assumes a major responsibility in supporting research, training, and education programs to promote the prevention and treatment of heart, lung, blood diseases, and sleep disorders to enhance the health of all individuals so that they can live longer and more fulfilling lives.

The NHLBI clinical trials research programs in cardiovascular, pulmonary, blood diseases, and sleep disorders have grown substantially. These mission-critical research areas require a clinician-scientist with advanced expertise and experience in clinical research in outpatient, community, hospital, and/or critical care environments, including design and execution of different types of trials (early phase, efficacy, effectiveness, and implementation), risk management and mitigations, as well as experience in clinical care.

The CMRO will be responsible for providing oversight over extramural clinical studies and clinical trials in their respective Divisions, and will contribute to the development of NHLBI-wide clinical research policies and processes in collaboration with the NHLBI Office of Clinical Research. The Division of Hematology and Cellular Therapy of the Allegheny Health Network Cancer Institute, primarily located at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, seeks a highly skilled and compassionate physician leader with expertise in Hematology and Cellular Therapy (HSCT and CAR-T). This position offers a Division Chief leadership role in a growing and dynamic Hematology and Cellular Therapy program dedicated to clinical and translational research as well as exceptional patient care.

The Division Chief works with the AHN Cancer Institute Chair and other leaders to develop and implement strategy and processes for patients under the care of the Division of Hematology and Cellular Therapy. The Division Chief shall also maintain all current and future standards of care, both inpatient and outpatient as well as accreditations needed to assure service for the region. The Division Chief will maintain the same standards and accreditations for subdivisions of the Cell Processing and Molecular Hematology Laboratory. Job Duties

Responsibilities include appointment as the Transplant/Cellular Therapy (HCT) Program Director with a vision for growth and program maturity. The clinical role includes providing comprehensive care to transplant/cellular therapy patients in the outpatient and inpatient settings at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida. Inpatient attending time includes night and weekend call/rounds in collaboration with division and hospital coverage models as the program launches and scales. 

A core expectation of this role is to help build the new program infrastructure, including clinical pathways, policies and standard operating procedures, and a quality management framework aligned with recognized HCT standards (e.g., FACT-JACIE expectations for quality-focused clinical and laboratory practice across the continuum of cellular therapy). The Program Director will also partner with operational and data teams to establish outcomes tracking and reporting workflows consistent with transplant registry participation and best practices.

Education and supervision of trainees (residents, medical students, and advanced practice practitioners) is required, supported by the Nemours–UCF academic environment. The physician will perform procedures (e.g., bone marrow aspirate/biopsy, lumbar puncture) as clinically indicated and will participate in divisional educational and scholarly activities, including quality improvement and clinical research efforts appropriate to a developing transplant program. Position Summary

The Medical Technologist I performs a variety of tests of a moderately or highly complex nature on patient samples, and performs quality control for hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, stool, and body fluids procedures based on laboratory procedures and policies. Duties & Responsibilities

• Follows laboratory established procedures and policies, and notify approved care givers of critical results following compliance and HIPPA standards.

• Operates, troubleshoots, and resolves instrument’s technical problems and documents corrective action whenever possible.

• Participates in CAP proficiency testing. • Performs resulting, verification, confirming, and other LIS laboratory related functions on patients results through the UI Hospital LIS and automation middleware information system including: instruments checks, status reports, and basic maintenance and recovery functions.
• Assists in training of laboratory personnel, new employees, medical residents and students in the principles and techniques of medical technology.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

• High school graduation or equivalent.

The Director of Hematological Malignancies Translational Research will provide senior leadership for the Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute’s precision oncology research mission in hematologic malignancies. This senior role is responsible for advancing a comprehensive translational research enterprise that seamlessly integrates genomic diagnostics, measurable residual disease (MRD) assessment, and biomarker-driven science with clinical care delivery and innovative clinical trial design across the leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and bone marrow transplant programs. 

The Director will establish and lead an independently funded research program, while serving as a key institutional representative in national and international collaborations. Working in close partnership with clinical and scientific leadership, the Director will play a central role in translating scientific discoveries into meaningful clinical impact. Equally important, the Director will foster a vibrant academic environment by recruiting, mentoring, and developing junior faculty, postdoctoral fellows, medical students, and other trainees, building a strong and sustainable pipeline of future physician-scientists in translational malignant hematology research.

The successful candidate will have a strong record of independently funded translational research in hematologic malignancies, along with demonstrated leadership in multi-center clinical trial correlative science and national or international recognition. The ideal candidate will show a commitment to mentorship and a proven ability to lead collaborative, multi-institutional research efforts. Expertise in precision diagnostics, including MRD detection and genomic profiling—and experience leading large-scale translational programs or consortia are essential. Experience engaging with regulatory bodies, contributing to clinical guideline development, and building strategic partnerships with industry and foundation sponsors is preferred.

The role also includes maintaining a clinical role as Attending Physician in Malignant Hematology. This is a five-year-term position, renewable for a second term.

Appointment as a Professor or Associate Professor of Medicine, full-time, at the Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training and achievements in addition to teaching activities.  Suitable candidates will have an MD, MD-PhD, or equivalent and board certification in Hematology, Hematology-Oncology, or equivalent.

Medical Director Responsibilities

• Responsible for the clinical oversight of Bone Marrow Transplant

• Manage all providers within Bone Marrow Transplant, both physicians and APCs, with clinical oversight of care provided by Bone Marrow Transplant in all settings. 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to physicians and clinical staff for the treatment of Bone Marrow Transplant patients.
• Oversee Bone Marrow Transplant clinical services, discusses and resolves administrative problems that arise and directs the planning and improvement of the clinical services.
• Oversee all staff in Bone Marrow Transplant.
• Act as a primary resource to Bone Marrow Transplant clinical team to troubleshoot issues and provide guidance and intervention related to operational challenges.
• Ensure the clinical program provides comprehensive clinical care through the multidisciplinary clinics and identifies, support and implements quality improvement initiatives for the program.
• Facilitate annual review of policies and procedures to ensure the program is in compliance with Hematology/Oncology standards.
• Meets regularly with section staff to review section functions and policies and procedures.
• Ensure that all patients served on the Bone Marrow Transplant program are eligible to receive services.
• Participate in recruiting staff to develop the clinical program and engage in staff retention and development opportunities.
• Work with various center administrative offices such as finance, pharmacy, and program leadership to support planning, site visits, collaborators, and auditors.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Promotes ideas to increase patient accrual for treatment, cancer control and prevention clinical trials working with the Cancer Research Department at the Helen F Graham Cancer Center and Research Institute
• Work with philanthropy for needed resources
• Establish a plan to upgrade the BMT unit with a separate leukemic unit.

The Division of Oncology in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University is seeking up to two clinician scientists or scientists (with a clinical interest) to join the Division. One position will be for clinical trialist and the other for a wet lab scientist, both at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The clinical trialist position will be in the University Medical Line (UML), and the wet-lab scientist will be in the University Tenure Line (UTL) or University Medical Line (UML). We are particularly interested in candidates with a focused area of interest and expertise in lymphoma and a proven track record (or potential record) in teaching and clinical care (for those with appropriate training).

The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching. The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Faculty rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

The successful applicant should have an MD, PhD, or MD/PhD or equivalent. For clinically active physicians, board-eligibility or board-certification in medical oncology or hematology/oncology is required. The MSU fixed-term faculty system provides opportunities for advancement through the professorial ranks (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor). Additionally, following seven semesters of exemplary performance, faculty members may be eligible to apply for Designation B status, which provides five-year, rolling appointments.

These individuals will be responsible for in-person and online instruction at the undergraduate and graduate level. The teaching load will be approximately 3 courses per semester. Specific teaching assignments will be based on the successful candidate's areas of expertise and the instructional needs of the BLD program.

The Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics (BLD) Program was established in 1926 and is within the College of Natural Science. MSU BLD offers two undergraduate degrees, Biomedical Laboratory Science and Medical Laboratory Science (a NACCLS accredited program) and three graduate degrees – an MA in Biomedical Laboratory Science, an MS in Clinical Laboratory Science, and an MS in Biomedical Laboratory Operations. The program serves a diverse patient population, providing a range of treatment options including stem cell transplantation, BiTE, and CAR-T therapy. This service is 24/7, and we are hiring across multiple (12hr) shifts (daytime, nocturnist, and mixed schedule opportunities are available).

Advanced practice providers work closely with physicians in a shared practice model. APPs provide care for patients throughout the course of their illness and are involved in initial treatment planning and counseling, assessments, supportive care during chemotherapy treatment, and surveillance and follow-up care after completion of treatment. In addition to working collaboratively with physicians, they play an integral role in coordinating care with other subspecialties, including radiation oncology and surgical oncology. The cancer center includes an active cancer clinical trials program and provides a full range of supportive services, including social work, palliative care, nutrition support, genetic counseling, and patient navigation.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join a collaborative and supportive APP/MD team practice that provides care for patients with hematologic diagnoses who are admitted to the hospital due to complications of their malignancy, complications of their treatment, for palliative care, or for chemotherapy. Common cancer diagnoses are lymphoma, leukemia, and MDS. In addition to treating patients with chemotherapy or on clinical trials, the team manages acute medical problems such as neutropenic fever, nausea and vomiting, pain management, and other acute medical diagnoses. This position offers the opportunity to be involved in every aspect of cancer care including initial diagnosis, treatment, clinical trials, management of complications/acute medical issues, and palliative care.

The position is 100% clinical. The typical morning consists of pre-rounding on patients followed by rounds with the attending physician. In the afternoon, the APP carries out the plan of care for patients, consults with other services as indicated, admits and discharges patients, and performs procedures (including bone marrow biopsy). The ideal candidate is motivated, self-directed, compassionate, enthusiastic and committed to evidence-based practice and lifelong learning. There are many opportunities for learning including teaching on rounds, weekly conferences, monthly staff meetings, and clinical care conferences.

Required Qualifications:
• Nurse Practitioner with a Masters of Nursing from an accredited program with current NH license, or eligible for licensure in NH.

• Current (or eligible) certification to practice as a Physician's Assistant in the state of New Hampshire. Academic preparation at the Master's level.

The MGB Division of Transfusion Medicine encompasses an FDA-licensed donor center, therapeutic apheresis, an outpatient transfusion/infusion clinic, a transfusion service, and progenitor cell collection and processing. The faculty member will assume leadership roles within the Division and serve as one of several Medical Directors responsible for a designated area of Transfusion Medicine that aligns with their expertise and interests. Clinical Practice and Location

The physician’s primary clinical practice will be based at Duke Cancer Center Raleigh, a comprehensive, community-based cancer center serving patients throughout Raleigh, Cary, Wake County, and the surrounding region. The center provides coordinated hematology and oncology care, outpatient infusion services, advanced cancer treatments, clinical trial access, pharmacy services, and multidisciplinary support in one convenient location.

The primary patient population will include adults with hematologic malignancies who require longitudinal subspecialty care, including patients with lymphoma, multiple myeloma, leukemia, and other blood cancers. The physician will evaluate and manage patients who may benefit from CAR-T therapy, bispecific antibodies, cellular immunotherapy, or other advanced treatment approaches. Responsibilities may include treatment consultation, patient selection, pre-treatment evaluation, longitudinal disease management, management of therapy-related complications, and post-cellular therapy follow-up.

This role will help expand access to advanced hematologic malignancy care for patients in Wake County while maintaining close integration with the Duke Blood Cancer Center and cellular therapy program at Duke University Medical Center in Durham. Patients requiring specialized cellular therapy procedures, complex inpatient care, transplantation, or other tertiary-level services will have seamless access to Duke’s main academic campus.

The faculty member may participate in clinical care, research, teaching, multidisciplinary conferences, and other academic activities at Duke University Medical Center as programmatic and patient-care needs warrant.

We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist for this hospital-employed position that offers an outpatient-focused practice with inpatient consult responsibilities in a busy infusion service. Mayo Clinic is seeking a board certified / board eligible pediatric hematologist to join our growing team!  Mayo Clinic is an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and a federally designated Comprehensive Hemophilia Treatment Center with 11 pediatric hematologist/oncologists, nine nurse practitioners, and eight specialty nurses.   While the division provides comprehensive care across the full spectrum of pediatric hematologic and oncologic conditions, this role is specifically focused on non-malignant, classical pediatric hematology.

Our non-malignant hematology program provides multidisciplinary, longitudinal care for children with inherited and acquired blood disorders, with particular strengths in bleeding. and clotting, and bone marrow failure disorders. As a Comprehensive Hemophilia Treatment Center, we deliver integrated care for patients with hemophilia and other congenital bleeding disorders, including access to a specialized lab for state-of-the-art testing, specialized nursing, physical therapy, social work, and care coordination services. In addition, our Vascular Malformation Clinic brings together hematology, interventional radiology, surgery, genetics, dermatology, and other specialties to provide coordinated evaluation and management of complex vascular anomalies.

This position is dedicated to the outpatient and inpatient care of children with non-malignant hematologic conditions within a highly collaborative practice. All physicians in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology share responsibility for the inpatient care of children with blood disorders, cancer, and those undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation at Mayo Clinic Hospital, while maintaining defined areas of clinical focus. The successful candidate will also contribute to the division’s educational mission through teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. Key Responsibilities:

Operate as the lead on the SCTOD contract with HRSA, participating alongside others in the team in all aspects of successfully completing all contract deliverables, including, but not limited to:

• Provide scientific leadership to Data Operations staff to ensure and promote data quality, accuracy and appropriateness of data collected to meet the purposes of the SCTOD, and more broadly CIBMTR’s mission

• Collaborate with statistical and data operations teams to understand, enhance and perform the annual Center Specific Analysis (CSA) and understand all functions supporting this

• Develop a full understanding of data security, and other contract obligations associated with the SCTOD contract

• Work closely with the HRSA Project Officer and other team members as well as leads of other awards under the CW Bill Young program

• Work closely with MCW, and other appropriate legal and contracting partners to negotiate and fulfill the SCTOD requirements 

• Collaborate with treatment center directors to ensure US network engagement in, contribution to and innovation around the CSA.

• Participate in the strategic mission of data innovation, covering all aspects of the data lifecycle, to enhance the impact and effectiveness of the CIBMTR registry in achieving its mission, broadly supporting the quality and security of CIBMTR data

• Lead partnerships with US treatment centers to maximize the strengths of registry data collection and use, while reducing burden

• Represent CIBMTR to international registries, influencing the development of globally harmonized clinical definitions, standardized data collection, promoting benchmarking and collaborative research

Clinical Role

The successful candidate may also have a clinical role in the Division of Hematology and Oncology in our internationally recognized cellular therapy clinical program. The clinical responsibilities may include inpatient care for patients undergoing advanced cellular therapies and/or a limited outpatient clinic with a focus on allogeneic transplant MCW’s cellular therapy program serves most of the state of Wisconsin as well as northern Illinois and parts of Michigan. We perform roughly 400 cellular therapy procedures yearly, including autologous and allogeneic transplant, chimeric-antigen T-cell receptor therapy and novel cellular protocols, including cutting edge and first-in-human clinical trials. The physician will be part of a multidisciplinary team and critically involved in the day-to-day management of complex patients. The team includes skilled advanced practice providers, transplant coordinators, nursing staff, pharmacists, and other specialists.

The Division of Hematology and Oncology is a core center member of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Clinical Trials Network (BMT CTN), a lead academic center for the National Clinical Trials Network (NCTN) and an active member of ECOG-ACRIN.

Position Requirements:

• Board certified/board eligible in hematology and/or oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine

• Ability to obtain an unrestricted Wisconsin medical license

• Prior experience and training in HCT

Hematologist — Hemophilia and Thrombosis

The Dartmouth Cancer Center Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center is seeking a collaborative, full-time hematologist with expertise or interest in inherited and acquired bleeding and clotting disorders.

The Center is one of three federally funded Comprehensive Hemophilia Treatment Centers in northern New England and includes the region’s only specialized coagulation laboratory. The physician will provide outpatient and inpatient consultation while working closely with nursing, advanced practice providers, physical therapy, social work, and other clinical professionals.

The Division of Hematology and Oncology has established clinical expertise in the treatment of hematologic, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, and breast malignancies and is committed to expanding programs across all oncologic subspecialties. Members of the Division collaborate closely with specialists across the Cancer Center including experts in surgical oncology, gynecologic oncology, and radiation oncology to provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary cancer care. The Cancer Center supports this collaborative approach through12 subspecialty multi-disciplinary tumor boards and maintains accreditation from several nationally recognized organizations including the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer as an Academic Comprehensive Cancer Program, the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, and the Foundation for Accreditation of Cellular Therapy.

Faculty are engaged in the MHMC internal medicine residency and hematology / oncology fellowship programs. The fellows cover the inpatient hematology and oncology consultation service for the MHMC hospital. The consult service expertise can also be requested by the separate inpatient cancer unit run by hospitalists.

Clinical research is an integral component of the Division and the MetroHealth Cancer Center. After holding the ECOG Cooperative Group grant at MetroHealth for 38 years, the Division and the Cancer Center are full partners (Lead Academic Participating Site) in the Case Western Reserve University National Clinical Trials Network grant. With the assistance of the MHMC oncology research team, all Division members are expected to enroll their patients in NCI, pharmaceutical-sponsored, and investigator-initiated studies.  The Division is closely aligned with the MHMC’s basic science driven Division of Cancer Biology and the Gene and Cellular Therapy Institute.

Specific Responsibilities  

• The Director will be a practicing member of the Hematology and Oncology Medicine Division, leading by providing outstanding clinical care and service to patients and referring providers, and promoting clinical trial enrollment.

Pay and Benefits:

This role is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. The Foley Family Leukemia Fellowship is an Advanced Fellowship in Leukemia at the Dana-
Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) designed to provide comprehensive clinical training and research opportunities in leukemia. The fellowship is ideal for a physician planning a career that includes clinical and/or translational research in leukemia in an academic setting. 

The Leukemia Fellowship training focuses on the clinical management and study of acute leukemias, myelodysplastic syndromes, and myeloproliferative neoplasms. The program's primary aim is to prepare qualified individuals for careers focused on caring for individuals with leukemia and conducting transformative clinical and/or translational research. The Fellow will be appointed a Clinical Fellow in Medicine at Harvard Medical School.

At the time of entry into the program, fellows must have already completed training in Medical Oncology (minimum 2 years), or Hematology (minimum 2 years), or Hematology/Oncology (minimum 3 years) and be eligible for a limited or full medical license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. As Medical Director of the Cancer Clinical Trials Office, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Design and implement a system-wide strategy for cancer clinical trials operations, portfolio development, and enrollment growth across all Northwell sites
• Establish a centralized, high-performing clinical trials infrastructure that supports all disease teams
• Develop standardized processes for trial activation, enrollment, compliance, data quality, and regulatory oversight across all Northwell sites
• Expand early-phase (Phase I/II) clinical trial capabilities, including investigator-initiated trials (IITs), to position Northwell as a destination for novel cancer therapeutics

Role Overview

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Memorial Hospital for Cancer and Allied Diseases invites applications for a Service Chief of Clinical Microbiology. The Clinical Microbiology Service currently consists of the Service Chief, two clinical microbiology faculty, three supervisors, and more than 45 technologists, technicians, and clerical personnel, and supports the Memorial Hospital and MSK regional sites located in New Jersey, Westchester, Long Island.  The Department and the Clinical Microbiology Service is committed to applied and translational research through active collaborations with internal and external scientists, clinicians, and industry experts to develop innovative laboratory methods and leverage advances in technology to improve patient care. Our faculty play a vital role in clinical research and clinical trials.  MSK provides diverse educational opportunities to develop further the skills and ambition of our scientists, laboratory directors, laboratory managers, medical technologist, and technicians. The Clinical Microbiology Service offers a two-year Clinical Microbiology Fellowship providing training for doctoral-level scientists interested in acquiring knowledge and skills necessary to direct a clinical microbiology laboratory.

Extensive experience in high complexity clinical lab/director functions in support of an academic medical center clinical services and translational programs is preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clinical: The position includes a clinical commitment to the Clinical Microbiology service at MSK. The service and its laboratories are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and offer comprehensive testing in bacteriology, antimicrobial susceptibility, mycobacteriology, mycology, parasitology, virology, and infectious disease serology using both conventional methods and cutting-edge technologies such as real-time PCR, solid and liquid microarrays, nucleic acid sequencing, and MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry. The attending faculty members provide consultations on selection of diagnostic tests and interpretation of test results to all MSK clinical teams. The individual will be responsible for mentoring, directing, instructing, and supervising attendings, fellows, managers, supervisors, and technologists providing diagnostic service, advising, and consulting with clinical teams.

Research: Development of a creative and productive research program in relevant fields of interest leading to publication of results in high quality, peer-reviewed scientific journals is a fundamental requirement of the position. Emphasis is on test method development relevant to cancer care. The successful applicant will obtain extramural funding and direct collaborative research with clinical colleagues across the institution. It is expected to develop collaborations with clinical staff to study and improve biomarker detection and analysis in cancer patients. Subspecialty training in method development and emerging modern technologies in the field of microbiology is preferred.

Teaching: The candidate will be participating in the training of Clinical Microbiology and Lab Medicine fellows and clinical pathology residents through lectures, clinical supervision and mentorship as well teaching of laboratory technologists and supervisors.

Service: MSK has a system of shared governance. Active participation in committees, professional organizations, continuing education, and other appropriate outlets is required. The department has a faculty mentoring program in which participation is expected.

This physician will have a minimum 50% of his/her clinical time dedicated to bone marrow transplant. The allocation of this person’s professional time will be 50% clinical transplant, 30% clinical hematology and/or oncology depending on candidate’s interest, and 20% for non-clinical responsibilities.

Akron Children’s Hospital is a teaching hospital with an AGMCE accredited Hematology/Oncology fellowship training program and a medical school affiliation with Northeast Ohio Medical University.

Programs at the Akron Children’s Hospital Showers Family Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders include hematology, oncology, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, a state-funded sickle cell program and regional hemostasis and thrombosis center. Hematology/oncology care is provided at our hospital in Akron, our Beeghly campus in Boardman, Ohio, and three satellite clinics throughout the region. The Hematology/Oncology team is currently comprised of eleven faculty members, seventeen advanced practice providers and fellows.

Each year the center cares for approximately 90 new oncology patients, 15 stem cell/marrow transplant patients, 160 sickle cell patients and 540 bleeding disorder patients. The staff also provides care during 12,000 patient encounters annually. Akron Children’s Hospital is a member of the Children’s Oncology Group, house a pediatric transplant center approved by the National Marrow Donor Program, and is one of only 9 pediatric cancer centers in the country verified by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer as a Pediatric Cancer Hospital.

The Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and UM Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist at the Assistant Professor level for its expanding pediatric stem cell transplantation and collection programs. The Division currently has seven faculty members and additional comprehensive programs in oncology, neuro-oncology, sickle-cell disease, and hemophilia. The Division is an integral part of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, a leading research institution, and the UM Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Department of Pediatrics ranks as one of the tip Pediatric Programs for NIH funding. Excellent opportunities for participation in clinical or translational research collaborations are available within existing programs in tumor biology and immunology, tolerance and graft-versus-host disease. The Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology is a full member of COG, as active federally funded programs in pediatric oncology and sickle cell disease within the state-of-the-art UM Batchelor Children’s Research Institute.

Our supportive oncology and rehabilitative services program helps patients overcome physical and emotional challenges that often follow diagnosis and treatment. 

This position will work within the USF Hemophilia Treatment Center, specializing in diagnosis, treatment, and management of bleeding disorders. Additionally, this position will have an opportunity to engage in FDA-approved gene therapy. Our center has its own 340B program that supports our wide range of patient care activities and staff, including RNs, NPs, Physical Therapists, social workers, and administrative staff. We have our own clinical research team that supports our clinical research activities.    

Additional academic responsibilities may include advising and mentoring students in the development of scholarly projects; assessing, reviewing, and evaluating student educational activities and progress; and serving on university-wide, medical school, and/or departmental committees.

Prefer: 1-3 years of physician experience with benign hematology. Previous experience in an academic medical center and proven track record in teaching and/or clinical research preferred. Extensive thrombosis experience is a plus as we are evolving our activities into a hemostasis/thrombosis center. Applicants with a track record in clinical or basic research in hemostasis or thrombosis are particularly encouraged to apply.

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) will open a brand new, comprehensive, multi-specialty ambulatory care center in Quincy, MA, just south of Boston, in the fall of 2027. We will provide a full spectrum of healthcare services, including primary care, urgent care, cardiology, OB/GYN, orthopedics, cancer care, diagnostic radiology services, lab services and a retail pharmacy. 

An outstanding opportunity is now available for an experienced and talented Hematologist/Oncologist to lead our cancer service line at this site, working in collaboration with BIDMC in Boston and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital/Milton. The Medical Director will provide clinical, operational and strategic leadership and will be central to establishing a community-based oncology program integrated with the broader Beth Israel Lahey Health cancer network and the academic resources of BIDMC. The Medical Director will oversee the development and execution of an ambulatory oncology strategy that emphasizes access, program growth, multidisciplinary coordination, physician alignment, quality outcomes and referral network expansion throughout the South Shore region. 

The successful candidate will be Board Certified in Hematology and Medical oncology, will have experience in clinical leadership and/or program development and will thrive in a community- based oncology service within an academic health system. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must.
