The Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology/Oncology at Tulane University School of Medicine is actively recruiting a Hematologist with an interest in non-malignant hematology including hemostasis, thrombosis, and platelet and red cell disorders. This successful candidate will be expected to participate in the multi-disciplinary activities of the Louisiana Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders, a large, federally funded center for patients with hemostatic disorders.
The ideal candidate will be able to participate in the clinical, educational, and research missions of the section and the Louisiana Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders. The ideal candidate will have clinical expertise in hemostasis, thrombosis, and/or hemoglobinopathies as well as clinical and/or translational research experience. In addition, we are looking for candidates with an interest in medical education, to provide training in benign hematology for fellows, residents, and students. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead clinical research projects, and initiate and oversee patient-focused programs with the support of an outstanding comprehensive care team.
