The Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy (SCTCT) program at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center (BMDACC) is fully accredited for autologous & allogeneic SCT and immune cellular therapies by the Foundation for Accreditation of Cellular Therapies (FACT). The program performs all kinds of allogeneic SCTs including matched and mismatched related and unrelated donors, haploidentical and cord blood transplants. There are several ongoing clinical trials (including Phase 1) in both stem cell transplant and immune cellular therapy. The program also treats approximately 100 new acute leukemia patients per year and supports a robust acute leukemia clinical trial portfolio.
The SCTCT program has grown rapidly and we are seeking Advanced Practice Providers to join our team. Qualified candidate is required to be board certified and is expected to provide compassionate, evidence-based and multidisciplinary care to cancer patients. The individual hired will be an active member of the Division of Medical Oncology and will participate in clinical, research and education services provided by BMDACC at the Gateway Campus in Gilbert, AZ.
The leader collaborates with APPs, physicians, Division and Section Chiefs, managers, and other local stakeholders to identify opportunities for practice improvement in the areas of clinical quality, patient and provider satisfaction, and financial performance. This position plays a key role in ensuring the facility maintains a patient-centered focus and will serve as a liaison between the APP team and the larger organization and will be a resource for the other APPs in addressing the complexities of clinical practice. Administrative responsibilities and time will be based on division, or service line needs as determined by Director.
• 3 years' experience in stem cell transplant required. Preference will be given to candidates with strong leadership skills and prior experience in a large volume stem cell transplant & cellular therapy program
• May supervise other staff in coordinating the activities of patient care, depending on work assignment
• Schedule: M-F | 8a - 5p | NO CALL
The program is highly integrated with The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, including opportunities for education and mentorship.
