Assistant/Associate Professor of Medicine
The Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking candidates for board-certified/board eligible hematologists at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Medicine to join our Benign Hematology Program that consists of 8 adult hematologists and includes a federally-funded thalassemia program. The applicant will care for patients with benign hematology disorders and participate in the clinical and clinical/translational research activities of the Benign Hematology Program, which provides excellent clinical care and a breadth of research opportunities. Candidates interested in hemoglobinopathies including Sickle Cell Disease and Thalassemia are encouraged to apply. The applicant will care for patients with non-malignant blood disorders in the outpatient practice, consult on hospitalized patients, and interact with tertiary-care surgical, solid organ transplant, cardiac and medical services, as well as interact with the Division’s Cell Therapy Service to develop and administer novel therapies to patients with non-malignant blood disorders. WCM has a long history of outstanding clinical care, education and research in benign hematology, with an internationally recognized fellowship training program in hematology.
Full-time clinical compensation starts at $260K+ with actual compensation influenced by specialty, experience, academic achievements, patient care quality, and productivity.
