Penn State Health Cancer Institute and Penn State College of Medicine is seeking an individual who wishes to build an academic career in the area of classical hematology.

This position will involve outpatient management and inpatient consultations on persons with Benign Hematologic disorders, primarily those with bleeding and clotting disorders and those with sickle cell disease and other red blood cell disorders.

The Division of Blood and Vascular Disorders faculty serve as staff members for our robust non-malignant hematology programs, including the Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center of Central Pennsylvania, Sickle Cell, and Benign Hematology programs. The role includes working in clinical teams with advanced practice providers and other staff, engaging in hematology research and education of learners in the fellowship, residency and medical school programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Medical degree - M.D., D.O. or foreign equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited residency program
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine
  • Board certified or eligible in Hematology
  • Eligible or currently licensed for the practice of medicine in the State of Pennsylvania
