The Division of Hematology & Medical Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Hematologist to lead and expand clinical and translational programs focused on pre-malignant hematologic conditions, with a particular emphasis on Age-Related Clonal Hematopoiesis (ARCH), clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP), clonal cytopenias, and related precursor states. Candidates at all career stages are encouraged to apply, and for the suitable candidate, opportunities for leadership may be considered.

This position is intended to collaborate closely with enterprise-wide efforts across the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center to develop comprehensive clinical research and translational/discovery programs in aging-related clonal hematopoiesis and human longevity research. The successful candidate will play a central role in building a program at the intersection of hematology, aging biology, and cancer prevention and interception — spanning early detection, risk stratification, longitudinal monitoring, and interventional clinical trials for individuals with clonal hematopoiesis and other pre-malignant hematologic states. In addition, there will be opportunities to collaborate with the Human Longevity Program at Mayo Clinic Florida, connecting clonal hematopoiesis research with broader scientific efforts in healthy aging and longevity.

The ideal candidate will have expertise and demonstrated interest in clinical and functional genomics, with the ability to translate genomic and mechanistic insights into clinical research and patient care. Interest and previous experience in clonal hematopoiesis, myeloid precursor conditions, and the biology of hematopoietic aging is highly desirable.

Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology and eligible for Florida state medical licensure.
