The Assistant/Associate/Professor; Classical Hematologist position will focus on non-malignant hematology including hemostasis, thrombosis, platelet and red cell disorders. The program is supported by state-of-the-art facilities and is an exceptional opportunity for accelerated upward promotion within an academic medical center/cancer center, supported by a dedicated team of professionals and serving the diverse patient population of the surrounding region.
Position Summary
The Department of Medicine is seeking a Hematologist for non-malignant hematology. The successful candidate will participate in multi-disciplinary activities for bleeding and clotting disorders with a large federally funded hemophilia treatment center.
This position is ideal for individuals with excellence in clinical care and training as a clinician researcher; with the ability to participate in clinical, educational, and research missions as directed by the center and responsibility for the training of Hem/Onc residents and medical students.
Key Responsibilities
- Focus on Non-Malignant Hematological conditions including: hemostasis, thrombosis, platelet and red cell disorders.
- Clinical Care: Provide exceptional patient care in Hematology.
- Research & Clinical Trials: Develop and lead investigator-initiated and collaborative clinical trials supported by the Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders.
- Regulatory & Accreditation Compliance: Ensure adherence to FACT Standards, FDA regulations, and other relevant policies.
- Education & Mentorship: Train and mentor fellows, residents, and medical/graduate students in hematology.
- Institutional Collaboration: Engage with the leadership and the broader university community.
Qualifications
Required:
· MD, DO, or foreign equivalent.
· Eligible for a medical license.
· Board Certified Internal Medicine
· Board eligible/certified in Hematology
· Must qualify for appointment as Assistant/Associate Professor
