We're recruiting Transplant Hematologists to work in secondary and tertiary hospitals across the country, delivering both advanced subspecialty care and comprehensive general Hematology.
Clinical services could include:
You'll manage inpatient and outpatient services, contribute to multidisciplinary tumour boards, participate in clinical trials, and supervise trainees. Additionally, many centres hold Royal Australasian College of Physicians training accreditation, with teaching and mentorship embedded naturally into everyday practice.

Salary: The average package is NZD $343,500 (USD $203,848), comprising base salary (experience-dependent), allowances, and superannuation per the ASMS collective agreement.

What you need to work here
Registration: Eligibility for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate. International applicants will typically hold qualifications equivalent to the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Hematology), with experience in allogeneic and/or autologous stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies.
Visa: Most international applicants will require a work visa to practise in New Zealand. Health New Zealand's Health Immigration Service provides complimentary support, so you're not navigating the process alone. Typical pathways include the Straight to Residence visa for Transplant Haematologists, or an Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) as a first step.
