The Department of Pediatrics at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone Health is seeking a full-time academic physician to join the Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology as Director of Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapies. The Director will lead an expanding, FACT-accredited pediatric stem cell and cellular therapy program, with responsibility for clinical, operational, research, and educational activities.

The program provides blood, bone marrow, and stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies to children and adolescents across the full spectrum of malignant and non-malignant hematologic and oncologic diseases.  Successful candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to clinical practice and scholarly activities and will be responsible for fostering programmatic development. 

The director will have access to a rich ecosystem of resources including: The Perlmutter Cancer Center: An NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, and world-class researchers in cancer, immunology, stem cell biology, and developmental therapeutics.  Responsibilities include: strategic leadership of the pediatric BMT and cellular therapies program, provision of clinical care in the inpatient and ambulatory settings, education and research in the division. 

Academic appointment will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of the applicant. Applications from the Associate Professor and Professor level are preferred.  Applicants must be board certified/eligible in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology and must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in New York State.

The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors. Salary Range is $260,000 - $300.000
