The faculty member will join the Myeloma Team and will collaborate closely with the transplant and cellular therapy programs.
Responsibilities to include:
- Management of patients with multiple myeloma in the outpatient setting
- Attending on the inpatient bone marrow/hematologic malignancy service with an emphasis on treating patients with lymphoma and multiple myeloma
- Shared responsibility for on-call coverage
- Case conferencing with multi-disciplinary teams
- Coordination of teaching rounds with Fellows and House-staff assigned to the inpatient or outpatient service
- Growing the myeloma clinical and research programs
- Medical direction to CHM Data Managers and Nurse Coordinators
- Experience and expertise in the establishment and maintenance of comprehensive CHM databases
- Development and participation in clinical trials
- Participation in administrative committees and councils of OHSU as approved by the Chair and Division Head
Qualification
- MD or DO required
- U.S. Board certified in Internal Medicine
- U.S. Board Certification or Eligibility in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology
- Eligibility for Oregon medical licensure
Preferred Qualifications
Proven success working with multi-disciplinary teams, history of training focused on the care of myeloma patients including bone marrow transplant, conducting research in hematologic malignancies, and success in obtaining extramural funds for clinical trials and/or basic science research.
