DANA-FARBER CANCER INSTITUTE
Dedicated to Discovery…Committed to Care
Hematologist & Undergraduate Medical Education Director

The Hematology Division at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) is seeking a full-time
hematologist (MD or MD/PhD) for an academic clinical position with undergraduate medical education responsibilities within the Department of Medical Oncology.

As a member of the Hematology service, the successful candidate will provide expert clinical care for patients with cancer or a history of cancer who develop or present with hematologic disorders—including conditions of bleeding, thrombosis, platelet, red cell, and white cell abnormalities—and will collaborate closely with oncology teams to optimize patient outcomes.

In the educational leadership role, the UME Director will lead and advance DFCI’s vision for
medical student education in alignment with its mission. The Director oversees Harvard Medical School (HMS) and Health Sciences and Technology (HST) student teaching, supervision, and evaluation across all levels of training; coordinates DFCI faculty engagement in teaching, mentoring, and educational scholarship; ensures compliance with HMS and LCME accreditation standards; and administers DFCI’s annual HMS teaching awards.

This position offers an exceptional opportunity to combine clinical excellence with educational leadership with multiple opportunities for collaboration. The position is based in the Department of Medical Oncology at DFCI and includes opportunities for collaboration with other institutions affiliated with the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center and the Harvard Medical School.

The academic appointment will be at the Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor level at
Harvard Medical School and determined by the applicant's credentials. Salary and benefits will be competitive with other institutions. Applicants should have an MD or MD/PhD degree and should be board certified or board eligible in Hematology
