Education and Experience
- Doctoral degree in molecular or cell biology, biophysical chemistry, biochemistry, immunology, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 0-5 years' experience required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of appropriate scientific area; ability to analyze and interpret data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot technical procedures.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following for this position: platelet biology, blood coagulation and hemostasis, microfluidics assays, confocal microscopy.
- Experience with standard cell culture, flow cytometry and biochemical/biophysical methods.
- Cutting-edge gene editing techniques; microfluidics assays to analyze clotting kinetics; confocal and multi-photon microscopy; and various hemostasis-related assays.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a T1 Public trust clearance.
Physical Capabilities
- Lifting: Requires lifting materials up to 10 lbs.
- Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods.
Work Environment
- This position will take place primarily in a laboratory setting.
Compensation
- The annual salary range for this position is $50,000-$70,000. Actual salary will be determined based on experience, education, etc.
