Weill Cornell Medicine, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Hematology Position

 

The Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor of Medicine with an interest in Benign Hematology.

 

The successful candidate will care for patients with blood disorders at both Weill Cornell/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and at NYP/Lower Manhattan Hospital. These two facilities contain more than 1000 beds combined and are located in the heart of New York City.

 

Responsibilities include patient care, clinical research, and teaching fellows, residents, and students. Successful candidates should be board-certified or board-eligible in hematology and hold or be eligible for medical licensure in New York State.

 

The applicants will practice medicine in state-of-the-art facilities caring for outpatients and inpatients with benign hematologic disorders and will collaborate closely with established programs in sickle cell anemia, thalassemia, immune thrombocytopenia, hemophilia and thrombosis. We are seeking candidates with a particular interest in red cell disorders who would direct and grow the adult sickle cell disease program.
