Main Line HealthCare is seeking an accomplished, visionary, Medical Oncologist to serve as Medical Director of the Main Line Health Cancer Service Line. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of oncology care across one of the region’s most respected health systems.

The Medical Director will partner with executive and clinical leaders, including in a dyad partnership with the Vice President, Cancer Service Line, to advance excellence in cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, research, and education across our hospitals and outpatient network. This is a dual administrative and clinical role, offering the opportunity to provide strategic leadership while maintaining an active clinical practice within Main Line Health.

The Medical Director provides clinical and strategic leadership for the growth and development of the cancer program, ensuring quality, innovation, and collaboration across a multi-hospital, community-based academic health system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide vision and leadership for the development and implementation of the MLH Cancer Strategic Plan.
  • In partnership with the Vice President, Cancer Service Line, oversee system-wide cancer services to ensure quality-driven, evidence-based care that meets or exceeds national standards. Collaborate with hospital and system leadership on physician recruitment, program growth, and resource allocation.
  • Strengthen relationships with employed and community-based providers and represent MLH cancer services within community and national organizations.
  • Advance clinical research and academic initiatives, partnering with Lankenau Institute for Medical Research and other academic collaborators.
  • Support and enhance teaching programs, including the Hematology/Oncology fellowship.
  • Promote system-wide collaboration, alignment, and consistency across hospitals, tumor boards, and service line operations.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO with unrestricted license to practice medicine in Pennsylvania.
  • Board Certification in Medical Oncology; additional certification in Hematology and/or Internal Medicine is welcomed.
  • Nationally respected oncologist with a record of excellence in clinical care, research, and program leadership.
  • Demonstrated success leading in a complex, multi-hospital system.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Commitment to advancing quality, safety, research, and education in oncology.
