Avera Health is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Classical Hematologist to join our Hematology, Transplant & Cellular Therapy Clinic in Sioux Falls, SD.
Position Overview
The classical hematologist will provide care for patients with benign hematologic conditions in an outpatient setting - no inpatient practice and no call requirements!
Team & Practice Details
Join a well-established team of 5 physicians and 5 advanced practice providers where approximately 50% of the practice consists of classical hematologic conditions; from bleeding disorders to sickle cell anemia. Patients and providers across Avera's 72,000 square mile footprint rely on Avera Hematology, Transplant & Cellular Therapy for expert consultations and management. With advancements in malignant hematology through Avera’s FACT-accredited transplant and CAR-T program, the group seeks a partner dedicated to classical hematology to meet the growing needs of patients.
Support & Collaboration
Work in partnership with oncology and hematology providers across six Avera Cancer Institutes, providing in-person and telemedicine care. The Avera team is supported by advanced practice providers, transplant coordinators, genetic counselors, pharmacists, social workers, dietitians, patient advocates, a state-of-the-art infusion center, hospitalist support, and a comprehensive network of sub-specialists.
Research & Academic Opportunities
Avera actively participates in clinical trials in hematology and cellular therapy. Physicians interested in research and teaching can pursue academic appointments through the University of South Dakota School of Medicine.
