Our team of hematology and oncology experts are on the cutting-edge of cancer research with state-of-the-art technology at our world-class cancer centers. As a Hematologist, you will be focused on evaluating and treating hematology conditions including blood, bone marrow, vascular and immune systems. You will care for patients with hematologic disorders, deliver coordinated and multispecialty care to patients with malignant and benign diseases within both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Hoag’s multidisciplinary team of specialists provides streamlined access to the full array of advanced cancer diagnosis and treatment options. With this approach we focus on prevention, early detection, the use of standard and promising new therapies, participation in laboratory and clinical research, and extensive complementary care, the team at Hoag Family Cancer Institute provides cancer patients with every diagnostic and therapeutic advantage.

The Hoag Family Cancer Institute has two primary campuses in Newport Beach and Irvine, CA, including a new dedicated Cancer Hospital opening in 2025.

$400,000 - $525,000 The salary range listed is for a full-time position and does not include additional incentive compensation or benefits that you may be eligible for. The total compensation will be reviewed and adjusted based on fair market value, experience, training, or any additional hospital needs.

Details:

  • Full time position. Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Treating Hematology patients (benign and malignant)
  • Clinic locations are in Newport Beach, Irvine and Huntington Beach, CA
  • Dedicated Support staff and administrative support. Including APP's, MA's. front office, schedulers and clinic administrators
  • Hoag participates in clinical trials and physician would be expected to also participate

Requirements:

  • Must have or be eligible for California State Medical licensure
  • Doctor of Medicine Degree and American Board Certified in Oncology and Fellowship trained in Hematology Oncology.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a medical oncologist specializing in Hematology
  • Must be well versed in the latest clinical research of state of cancer care for Hematology
  • Active as a principal investigator in all phases of clinical research for Hematology
  • A passion for providing excellent clinical care and excellent communication skills and interest in working in a collaborative / team-oriented environment are a must.
  • Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at Hoag Hospital
