Hematology Program Highlights
•    Largest Pediatric Hematology Program in the U.S.: 
o    Home to the nation’s largest pediatric Sickle Cell Disease program, with over 2,000 active patients and cutting-edge research initiatives.
o    Hemostasis and Thrombosis Program: Serves over 750 patients with bleeding and clotting disorders. Supported by extensive funding, including NIH R01s, K-awards, and a U54 grant focused on factor VIII immunogenicity.

Position Opportunities
1. Inpatient-Intensive Hematologist
•    Key Responsibilities: 
o    Devote 70-90% of effort to clinical care, primarily focusing on inpatient responsibilities with supplemental outpatient duties.
o    Provide clinical coverage at Arthur M. Blank Hospital.
o    Collaborate with program leaders to expand patient services, particularly in sickle cell disease and general hematology.
o    Engage in education and training for medical students, residents, and fellows.
2. Clinical Hematologist
•    Key Responsibilities: 
o    Dedicate 70-90% of effort to a mix of inpatient and outpatient care.
o    Focus primarily on sickle cell disease and general hematology, with opportunities for leadership within the Sickle Cell Program.
o    Participate in clinical coverage at Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center locations.
o    Contribute to teaching and mentoring medical trainees.

Candidate Qualifications
•    MD, MD/PhD, or DO degree.
•    Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology.
•    Eligible for medical licensure in Georgia.
•    Demonstrated clinical excellence and a commitment to academic and patient care advancement.

Academic Appointment and Compensation
•    Emory University School of Medicine faculty rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) and salary will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and achievements.
