The Department of Internal Medicine at McGovern Medical School, part of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Division of Hematology. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated hematologist with a strong academic interest in clinical and translational research, as well as a passion for teaching.
Position Overview:
- Clinical Responsibilities: The successful candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient care for a diverse patient population in the Memorial Hermann and Harris Health system, including those with malignant and/or non-malignant hematologic diseases. There is an opportunity to specialize in one's area of interest either in classical hematology or malignant hematology within the hematology division.
- Teaching and Mentorship: This role offers the opportunity to mentor medical students, residents, and fellows, fostering the next generation of hematologists.
- Research Opportunities: Strong support for basic, clinical and translational research considering UTHealth outstanding research infrastructure. There is access to McGovern Medical School, Memorial Hermann Hospital System and collaborative opportunities with MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree, or equivalent.
- Board-certified or eligible in Hematology.
- A good record of academic achievement and interest in teaching, clinical care, and research.
