Moffitt Cancer Center and the Department of Blood and Marrow Transplant & Cellular Immunotherapy (BMT-CI) at Moffitt Cancer Center is actively recruiting Assistant, Associate or Senior rank faculty physicians who have clinical interest in Transplant and Cellular Therapies. We are seeking full-time Academic Clinicians to focus on patient care, education, and research. Moffitt is a BMT-CTN Core Clinical Center, FACT accredited and is recognized nationally for longstanding excellence in clinical care and innovative research. The BMT-CI Programs offer an outstanding environment for professional development and career advancement. Faculty will have opportunity to develop a clinical and research career focused on one of four main areas (Leukemia/Myeloid Diseases, Lymphoid Diseases, Plasma Cell Disorders, and Solid Tumors) with a focus on hematopoietic stem cell transplant and/or cell therapy as treatment modalities.
Our Adult Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Program performs close to 450 allogenic and autologous transplants annually for treatment of a wide range of hematologic malignancies and non-malignant blood disorders. We utilize an individualized patient care approach, offering a wide range of clinical trials focused on prevention and/or treatment of relapse, GVHD, infections and toxicities of BMT.
Our Cellular Immunotherapy Program, also called Immune Cell Therapy (ICE-T), performs over 300 immune effector cell infusions annually for treatment of hematologic malignancies and solid tumors. This includes both investigational and FDA-approved products such as CAR T cell therapy, Tumor Infiltrating Lymphocyte (TIL) Therapy, TCR engineered T cells and dendritic cell vaccines. We also administer Bi-Specific Antibodies that engage Immune Effector Cells. Moffitt has a state-of-the-art GMP Cell Therapy Manufacturing Facility with multiple revenue streams including collaborations with Industry, which produces cellular immunotherapy products for human use. We also are actively planning further growth of our program to offer gene therapy for patients with hemoglobinopathies.
Our Faculty have ample opportunities to participate in research in BMT and Cellular Immunotherapy.
