The Moffitt Cancer Center located in Tampa, Florida is seeking a faculty member to join its Malignant Hematology and Cellular Therapy (MHCT) Program at Memorial Health System in Pembroke Pines and Hollywood, FL. The faculty member joins the MHCT Team to provide medical treatment to patients with malignant hematologic disorders and should be able to gain privileges for Bone Marrow Transplantation. A physician with desired focus of Myeloma is preferred. Faculty member will also serve as a member of the Moffitt Medical Group. The position involves all aspects of patient care, including the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients. The position demonstrates an interdisciplinary approach to treating cancer and works with several specialists to optimize patient care delivery.
Requirements:
Candidates must be BC/BE, board certified in specialty, fellowship trained in Oncology or Hematology / Oncology and completed requirements for ABIM Certification in Internal Medicine, Florida Medical Licensure, DEA Licensure. The successful applicant will have clinical and research leadership skills.
Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, the only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in Florida, is comprised of a large new ambulatory care facility, a 206-bed hospital, with a 36-bed blood and marrow transplant program, 18 state of the art operating suites, a 24 bed intensive care unit, a high volume screening program, and modern basic science research space. The Moffitt Research Institute is comprised of over 150 Principal Investigators, 70 laboratories, and 349,000 square feet of research space.
