Adult Sickle Cell Disease and Hemoglobinopathies Program

The Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine (WCM), in partnership with New York-Presbyterian Hospital, is seeking for full-time faculty positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Medicine in the Adult Sickle Cell Disease and Hemoglobinopathies Program. Graduating, Hematology Board eligible or certified Fellows are also welcome to apply.

Full-time faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s background and experience. We are committed to proactively promoting an inclusive and diverse environment that complements our New York patient population.

New York-Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medical College are located connected to each other on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, adjacent to major, renowned institutions including the Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Rockefeller University, and the New York Blood Center, providing a wealth of opportunities for academic collaboration.

New York-Presbyterian Hospital also has campuses in Lower Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens, and Weill Cornell has many outpatient care locations throughout the city, all serving a large ethnic and underrepresented minority population. Depending on the successful candidate’s home site, there will be flexibility in practicing sickle cell disease patient care at one of the more convenient affiliates, instead of or along with time on the main campus.

Successful candidates will be expected to devote the majority of effort to clinical patient care, and will also have protected time to devote to clinical research.

Diversity is one of Weill Cornell’s core values and is essential to achieving excellence in patient care, research, and education. We welcome applications from candidates who share our commitment to fostering a culture of fairness, equity, and belonging. Weill Cornell Medicine is an Equal Opportunity Employer, providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified applications without regard to race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, color, age, protected veteran or disability status, or genetic information.
