The Division of Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies in the Department of Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is seeking an academic hematologist with expertise in benign (classical) hematology.
The successful candidate will join the section of benign hematology, which has vibrant clinical and basic science research programs. The successful candidate will be active clinically and will supervise Medical Students, Internal Medicine Residents, and Hematology Fellows. The Division was one of just 9 programs across the country awarded funding from the American Society of Hematology for a Hematology Focused Fellowship Training Program, and the successful candidate will be part of developing the future of benign hematology. The successful candidate would be expected to fully integrate with the Center’s internationally renowned cross-disciplinary efforts.
Salary and benefits will be competitive with other institutions. Appointment as an Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor at the Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements in addition to teaching activities. Suitable candidates will have an MD or an MD-PhD, and Board Certification/Eligibility in Internal Medicine and Hematology.
