Instructor, Assistant or Associate Adjunct Professor- Myeloid and Lymphoid Malignancies
The Department of Medicine of the University of California, San Francisco and the Division of Hematology/Oncology invite applications for full-time faculty appointment in the UCSF Hematology, Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapies program. The candidate will be expected to develop an independent basic science, translational or clinical research program in the treatment of myeloid and lymphoid malignancies (e.g. Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, Acute Leukemia/Myelodysplasia). The candidate will be expected to apply for peer-reviewed grant funding and/or have current funding to help support the research program. The candidate will also have a clinical presence with expectation of approximately 25% clinical time. Applicants must have an MD (or equivalent), fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology, Stem Cell Transplantation and/or Cell Therapies and be board certified or eligible in Hematology or Medical Oncology. Applicants should also have demonstrated the ability to conduct basic science, translational and/or clinical research and showtheabilitytopublishintheseareas. The appointment will be made in the Adjunct series at a rank of Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor as compatible with the candidate's qualifications. Rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience. Specifically this position is meant for early career scientists who are building their research programs. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5: https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/2022-23/oct-2022-salary- scales/t5-summary.pdf. The minimum base salary range for this position is $99,200-$181,100. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan (https://ucop.edu/academic- personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf) which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
