Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Hematology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates must be board-eligible or certified in pediatric hematology/oncology.
Teaching responsibilities may include active and high-quality teaching opportunities of medical students, residents and fellows.
Clinical responsibilities may include care for patients with a wide breadth of non-malignant hematologic disorders. Patient care responsibilities will involve both in- and outpatient service.
Within the Division of Hematology, we have established clinical programs in hemostasis and thrombosis, platelet disorders, sickle cell, thalassemia, and bone marrow failure. These programs provide highly specialized multidisciplinary care with team members including social workers, nurses, physical therapists and psychologists. Our division includes 20 hematologists, 3 nurse practitioners and 18 fellows. We are a highly collaborative group who appreciate learning from each other and value clinical care that is thoughtful, thorough and compassionate.
Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Unrestricted MD and DEA licenses in Pennsylvania will be required before employment begins.
