The Clinical Scientist - Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) & Molecular Analysis at Hematologics will focus on working with the NGS team and in that role will contribute to all aspects of NGS clinical testing, NGS quality control programs, NGS assay validations, in addition to translational and/or basic science research. The ideal candidate is dedicated to high-quality and industry-leading clinical laboratory services and patient care. The Clinical Scientist - NGS & Molecular Analysis role includes a combination of wet bench lab work, clinical analysis, reporting, alongside research and development (R&D) activities. Participation in the preparation of manuscript(s) to be published in peer-reviewed research journals is expected. Personnel management is not included in this role. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: NGS wet lab: sample processing, instrumentation (quality control, validation) and assay development. Quality improvement projects will also be included in this component NGS analysis and reporting: This position is responsible for the analysis and reporting of both clinical and research NGS cases Research and development: R&D activities includes basic or translational science and the associated wet lab, analysis of NGS data, presentation of research and writing manuscripts for publication
