The Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Division of Hematology/Oncology are recruiting for a new Hematologist who will be treating both benign and malignant diseases. This physician would be working in a vibrant community setting in the San Francisco Bay Area with strong ties to the academic division and would be hired as a Medical Staff Physician (MSP). Areas of interest that fit particularly well include cytopenias, hypercoagulable disorders, bleeding disorders, lymphoma, leukemia and myeloma. In addition to the clinical responsibilities, the physician would be expected to attend Division meetings, tumor boards, and conferences as an active member of the division. The position is ideal for a physician looking for a community/academic hybrid setting. Candidates must have an MD and be ABIM certified in Hematology. Candidates should also be able to address the medical needs of solid tumor patients when covering for colleagues on call. Compensation and rank will be commensurate with experience.
